Better Chests: Among other things, this mod lets you adjust the size of your chests (as well as other containers like mini fridges) and PICK THEM UP even when they're full. Shows you what animals need to be petted, too! Lets you mouse over things to get info, like how many more days till a crop is grown, how much time is left on a keg etc. UI Info Suite: Adds helpful reminders to the UI, like the weather report, birthdays, and daily luck. It's pretty customizable if you want to make it a bit less powerful. Automate: This one can feel a little OP, but is SO useful for tedious task like smelting lots of ore or kegging lots of produce. Stardew Aquarium: Adds an aquarium (get there on the train) where you can donate fish you've caught. Market Day: Adds a weekly Market Day (you get to choose the day) where you can sell your goods and also shop at other NPCs stalls. Really well made and fits pretty well with the existing game style imo. Expansions to the map, new characters, more existing NPC interactions, new late game unlocks etc. Stardew Valley Expanded: I probably don't need to explain what this one is, but it's essentially like a huge, free DLC for the base game. I also just started my modding journey recently, and here are some of my favorites so far: Those are some of my favorite gameplay tweaks/mechanical additions to my game I get from my mods. Either way, another mod that can totally unbalance and break the game with its settings, but can also add just a little bit of flavor and variety with the right settings. I turn most of the usual restrictions and limitations on fruit trees back on, except I allow myself to plant them anywhere because one of the first times I played Stardew I had the idea of converting the train station into a community orchard and was crushed to discover that couldn't be my end-game money sink. I use Fruit Tree Tweaks, to hold up to 7 fruit, as well as a small chance to produce 2 fruit depending on daily luck. It has a configuration to allow bee houses indoors, but for me personally that crosses the threshold of being too powerful for a largely "Vanilla+" kind of game.įor the trees themselves, it's much the same story. I play with Better Bee Houses because it also has options for the bee houses to use forage flowers, as well as to randomly pick flowers within their range instead of defaulting to the nearest flower, and allowing them to work with flowers planted in garden pots. I like Better Panning for panning and for the fruit trees, well, Tree Transplant is the ultimate QoL mod.įrom there, there are mods like Better Bee Houses, or Fruit Tree Honey, which can allow bee houses to use fruit trees to make honey. While I do think that things like panning and fruit trees are undervalued by a lot of the player base in the vanilla game, when I'm playing with mods, I'll use mods to give them a little bit of a buff, because I happen to really like them. I tend to find both the mushroom and the bat cave option equally underwhelming, so I use Farm Cave Framework with a mod that lets the player choose both, and a fairly simple larger cave. The rest of my mod list for me is really about resolving personal pet peeves with the base game. It makes everything slightly easier, by giving the player way more information as they're playing. The must have mod as far as I'm concerned will always be UI Info Suite 2. Buy it for Console: PS4, Switch, Xbox One.or apply for prestige flair!
